The behavior we expect on the Platform.

HandyConnect is a workplace for thousands of homeowners and pros. Treat it like one. This policy lists what is allowed, what is not, and how we enforce it.

1. Be Honest

Provide accurate information in your profile, job posts, bids, contracts, reviews, and messages. Do not impersonate another person or business. Do not list services you cannot legally perform. Do not stage fake jobs to harvest profile data.

2. No Harassment or Discrimination

Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against any User on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, or any other protected class. Profanity directed at other Users, slurs, and sexual harassment are grounds for immediate termination.

3. No Illegal Activity

Do not use the Platform in furtherance of any illegal activity, including unlicensed work where licensure is required, unpermitted construction, illegal drug-related work, or any transaction that violates federal, state, or local law.

4. No Off-Platform Circumvention

Customers and Handymen agree to keep their first transaction on the Platform — including messages, contracts, and payments. Soliciting Customers off-platform within twelve (12) months of meeting them through HandyConnect is prohibited and may result in termination.

5. No Spam or Scraping

No mass messages, no posting unrelated content, no scraping of profile data, no automated account creation, and no bots interacting with the Platform without our written permission. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code is prohibited.

6. No Malicious Content

Do not upload viruses, malware, phishing links, or any content designed to disrupt the Platform or harm other Users. Do not attempt to bypass authentication, RLS, rate limits, or other security measures. Security researchers should email support@handyconnect.us before testing.

7. No Fraud

Do not engage in payment fraud (including triangulation, stolen-card use, or chargeback abuse), identity fraud, fake reviews, fake credentials, or any scheme to mislead Users or circumvent our trust signals.

8. Reviews and Disputes

Reviews must reflect genuine experience. Do not post or solicit fake reviews, retaliatory reviews, or reviews in exchange for compensation. Do not threaten a counterparty with a negative review to extract concessions.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

Do not share another User’s personal information (phone, address, email, credentials) outside the Platform’s job context. Do not record or photograph Customers or their property in ways that violate applicable privacy laws.

10. Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, warnings, reduced search visibility, suspension, or permanent termination, depending on the severity. Some violations may be reported to law enforcement, payment processors, or insurers as appropriate. HandyConnect LLC reserves all rights to take action without prior notice when there is risk of harm or fraud.
