Clear terms protect everyone on the platform.

By creating an account on HandyConnect, you (“User”) agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy, and any role-specific agreement that applies to you (the Customer Agreement or the Handyman / Provider Agreement). If you do not agree, you may not create an account or use the platform. Your continued use of HandyConnect constitutes ongoing acceptance of any updates we publish.

HandyConnect LLCoperates an online marketplace (“Platform”) that connects independent home-service professionals (“Handymen”) with homeowners and customers seeking home-improvement or repair services (“Customers”). HandyConnect is a technology platform only. HandyConnect does not itself perform, supervise, employ, dispatch, or control any home-service work. HandyConnect makes no representation or warranty regarding the quality, safety, legality, suitability, or any other characteristic of any work performed or services offered by any Handyman through the Platform.

Handymen who access or use HandyConnect are independent contractors and not employees, agents, partners, franchisees, or joint-venture participants of HandyConnect LLC. HandyConnect does not direct, supervise, train, or control the manner or means by which Handymen perform services. Handymen are solely responsible for determining the method, details, and means of providing their services. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to create an employment, agency, or franchise relationship between HandyConnect and any Handyman or Customer.

HandyConnect does not endorse, recommend, guarantee, or vouch for any Handyman, Customer, job post, bid, contract, or service offered through the Platform. Any ratings, reviews, trust scores, or verification badges displayed on the Platform are provided as information only and do not constitute endorsements or warranties of any kind. Users are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of any Handyman or Customer before entering into any agreement. HandyConnect does not conduct criminal background checks, sex-offender registry checks, credit checks, or reference checks on any User, and makes no representation regarding any User’s criminal history, character, qualifications, or fitness.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use HandyConnect. You agree to: (a) provide accurate, complete, and current account and profile information; (b) maintain the security of your login credentials; (c) communicate honestly and professionally with other Users; (d) comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and local requirements, including licensing, permits, insurance, and tax obligations; (e) not post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or bids; and (f) not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct toward other Users. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

All payment transactions between Customers and Handymen are processed through third-party payment providers (currently Stripe, Inc.). HandyConnect may charge platform fees, subscription fees, or marketplace service fees as disclosed at the time of transaction. Handymen are solely responsible for their own pricing, invoicing, tax obligations, and compliance with applicable payment laws. HandyConnect reserves the right to modify its fee structure upon reasonable notice. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in the Payment & Refund Policy or pursuant to a dispute resolution outcome.

Cancellations and disputes between Customers and Handymen are handled pursuant to the Platform’s Dispute Resolution Policy. HandyConnect may, at its sole discretion, review disputes and issue refunds or adjustments, but has no obligation to do so and makes no guarantees about dispute outcomes. HandyConnect’s decision regarding any dispute shall be final to the extent permitted by applicable law. Users are encouraged to resolve disputes directly whenever possible.

THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT, SERVICES, AND FEATURES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. HANDYCONNECT EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: (A) WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT; (B) ANY WARRANTY THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; AND (C) ANY WARRANTY REGARDING THE QUALITY, SAFETY, RELIABILITY, TIMELINESS, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY WORK PERFORMED BY HANDYMEN THROUGH THE PLATFORM.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, HANDYCONNECT LLCAND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM OR ANY SERVICES ARRANGED THROUGH IT — EVEN IF HANDYCONNECT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL HANDYCONNECT’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (I) THE TOTAL PLATFORM FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (II) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HandyConnect LLCand its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) any work performed by or for you through the Platform; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right; or (e) any dispute between you and another User.

Handymen are required to obtain and maintain, at their own expense, liability insurance appropriate to the services they offer, together with any professional licenses, permits, and certifications required by applicable law or local regulations for the work they perform; by accepting a job, a Handyman represents that they hold the coverage and credentials required for that work. HandyConnect does not verify, guarantee, or warrant that any Handyman holds any particular license, certification, or insurance coverage at any given time. Customers are encouraged to independently verify a Handyman’s credentials before engaging their services.

All content on the Platform, including logos, design elements, software, and text, is the property of HandyConnect LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without express written permission from HandyConnect LLC. By submitting content (including job posts, reviews, or profile information) to the Platform, you grant HandyConnect a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and improving the Platform.

HandyConnect reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms or any policy incorporated by reference. You may also deactivate your account at any time from Settings or by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 8, 9, 10, and 15 — shall survive.

HandyConnect may update these Terms at any time. When changes are material, we will notify you by email or a prominent in-app notice prior to the effective date. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may deactivate your account.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered in Travis County, Texas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in any class action. Notwithstanding the foregoing, HandyConnect may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and any role-specific agreement applicable to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and HandyConnect LLC. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. HandyConnect’s failure to enforce any provision shall not be deemed a waiver of that provision. These Terms are not assignable by you without HandyConnect LLC’s prior written consent.
