Customer AgreementEffective May 7, 2026

Your agreement when you hire through HandyConnect.

This Customer Agreement applies whenever you post a job, accept a contract, or pay a Handyman through the HandyConnect platform. Read it together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.

This Customer Agreement (“Agreement”) is between you (“Customer,” “you”) and HandyConnect LLC(“HandyConnect,” “we”). It governs how you use HandyConnect to find, hire, and pay independent home-service professionals (“Handymen”). By posting a job or accepting a contract, you agree to these terms.

1. Role of the Customer

You use HandyConnect to discover Handymen, request bids, agree on a scope of work, and pay for completed services. You — not HandyConnect — are the party hiring the Handyman. The contract for the home-service work is directly between you and the Handyman. HandyConnect is not a party to that contract and is not responsible for performance under it.

2. Job Posts and Accuracy

You agree to post jobs that are accurate, lawful, and complete. Misrepresenting the scope, location, condition of the property, or required tools may cause delays, cost adjustments, cancellations, or removal of your account. You retain ownership of the content you post but grant HandyConnect a non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform as needed to operate the marketplace.

3. Hiring Decisions Are Yours

HandyConnect surfaces Handymen, ratings, reviews, and verification status as information only. The decision to hire any specific Handyman is solely yours. You are encouraged to independently confirm a Handyman’s licenses, insurance, and references before booking, especially for work that is regulated, structural, or above your insurance deductible.

4. Contracts and Sign-Off

When you accept a contract proposed by a Handyman, you are entering a binding electronic agreement governed by the federal E-SIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA). You agree that your electronic signature has the same legal effect as a handwritten one. After the work is completed, you are expected to review and sign off promptly. If you do not sign off, the platform may auto-confirm completion after a reasonable period as described in our Dispute Resolution Policy.

5. Payment, Tips, and Platform Fees

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are subject to our Payment & Refund Policy. Handymen set their own pricing. The price you pay may include the agreed contract amount, optional tip, applicable taxes, and platform fees disclosed at checkout. You authorize HandyConnect (through Stripe) to charge your selected payment method for amounts you have approved. Chargebacks initiated without first attempting the in-app dispute process may result in suspension of your account.

6. Cancellations

You may cancel a job before a Handyman is booked at no cost. Cancellations after a contract is signed may be subject to the cancellation fees disclosed in the contract and in the Payment & Refund Policy. If a Handyman cancels through no fault of yours, any captured funds will be released back to your payment method.

7. Site Conditions and Access

You are responsible for: (a) the safety of the property and any pets, children, or other occupants during the work; (b) reasonable access to the work site; (c) disclosing known hazards (asbestos, mold, electrical issues, structural concerns, etc.); and (d) confirming that the Handyman’s scope is permissible under your HOA, lease, or local code. You indemnify HandyConnect for losses caused by undisclosed site conditions.

8. Reviews and Ratings

You are encouraged to leave honest, factual reviews. Reviews must not contain harassment, discriminatory content, or false statements. HandyConnect may remove reviews that violate our Acceptable Use Policy. Reviews go both ways — Handymen may also review you, and repeated negative behavior can affect your ability to hire on the Platform.

9. Disputes With Handymen

If something goes wrong, please first attempt to resolve it directly with the Handyman. Unresolved issues can be escalated through the in-app dispute workflow. HandyConnect’s role in any dispute is described in our Dispute Resolution Policy. HandyConnect is not the insurer of the work and does not guarantee a particular outcome.

10. Limitation of Liability

HandyConnect is a technology platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HandyConnect’s liability to you in connection with this Agreement is limited as described in the Terms of Service. Disputes about the quality of work or property damage are between you and the Handyman.

11. Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account for repeated late or fraudulent payment behavior, abuse of staff or Handymen, fake job posts, or other violations of our policies. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you, but we may act immediately when there is risk of harm, fraud, or legal exposure.
