Where HandyConnect’s responsibility ends and the contract begins.

The HandyConnect Platform and all features, content, and integrations are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

HandyConnect does not perform the work. HandyConnect makes no warranty regarding the quality, timeliness, safety, completeness, code-compliance, or workmanship of any service performed by a Handyman. Workmanship warranties — if any — are between the Customer and the Handyman in their contract.

HandyConnect does not warrant the conduct of any User. We screen and moderate where we reasonably can, but we cannot prevent every misrepresentation, no-show, or rude interaction. Users are responsible for their own conduct and for evaluating the conduct of counterparties before transacting.

Any property damage, theft, personal injury, illness, or death related to a job is between the Customer, the Handyman, the property owner, and any insurer. HandyConnect LLC is not party to the work and disclaims liability for these events to the maximum extent permitted by law.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDYCONNECT LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR SUBSTITUTE-PROCUREMENT COSTS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In no event will HandyConnect LLC’s aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (i) the total platform fees you paid to HandyConnect in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (ii) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations, so this cap may not apply in full to you.

The Platform integrates third-party services (for example, Stripe for payments, Mapbox or similar for maps, identity-verification providers, and email/notification senders). These services are governed by their own terms. HandyConnect is not responsible for their outages, errors, or misuse of data outside our reasonable control.

HandyConnect is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of upstream providers, network failures, weather events, public health emergencies, government action, or labor disruptions.

Any claim arising out of or related to your use of the Platform must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues, except where applicable law requires a longer period that cannot be shortened by agreement.

Any identity verification, badge, “verified” status, trust score, or document collection on the Platform is limited and informational. HandyConnect LLC verifies a government-issued ID through a third-party provider (for example, Stripe Identity) and may, where a Handyman chooses to submit them, collect insurance or trade-license documents. HandyConnect LLC does notconduct criminal background checks, sex-offender registry checks, credit checks, reference checks, or continuous monitoring of any User, and does not independently confirm a User’s qualifications, licensing, insurance, skills, character, safety, or fitness for any job.

A “verified,” “ID-verified,” or badge status reflects only a limited, point-in-time check and is not a guarantee, endorsement, or representation by HandyConnect LLCregarding any User. You are solely responsible for your own due diligence before and during any engagement — including, where appropriate, requesting proof of license and insurance, checking references, and confirming a counterparty’s identity in person. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HandyConnect LLC disclaims all liability for the acts or omissions of any User, including negligent, fraudulent, or criminal acts.
